About the Mangaka

Akahori Satoru is a multi talented chap,l working as a scriptwriter, novelist and manga author. He is best known for the Saber Marionette, Sakura Wars and Sorcerer Hunters series and he Video Girl Ai anime.

Most of Katsura Yukimaru works are based on stories from other media, notably video games. Some of her more notable works are Air, Ark and Yumeria (which I loved!!).

About the Manga

Well, after what feels like a decade (well, near three years), of them accusing me of sabotage, stalking, trying to destroy the company etc etc (see this earlier post) we finally get what we’ve all been waiting for, a reprint of Kashimashi YAY!!!!!

About the Mangaka

Tanigawa Nagaru is rather unusual as a manga-ka or even as a writer, in that he didn’t train as one. Rather he is a law school graduate of all things >.<. While he is best known for The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya series, which won him the grand prize at eighth annual Sneaker Awards; he has done several other series.

I couldn’t find anything solid on Tsugano Gaku, other than that he or she also did the art for Girl Who Runs Through Time, which was licensed by CMX.

Ito Noizi took me by surprise, she did the art for the Shakugan no Shana novels, but also works for a H-Game company. She has a personal website, though it’s Japanese only.

This is one of a few series that still has me totally stumped as to what the hell is going on.

About the Mangaka

The mangaka this time is rather unusual, since Peach-Pit is actually a female duo. Sendo Banri and Ebara Shibuko have had success after success, though they did go through three other group names, before settling for Peach Pit. Every piece of work they have done has gone on to become both a hit as a manga, and a hit as an anime. DearS, Rozen Maiden have been licensed, both in anime and manga format. Only Shugo Chara and Zombie Loan’s anime remain unlicensed. Their other work, is a a series of short comics called, Peach-Pit’s Three Titles Collaboration Comic, and mixes the characters from the three big manga, DearS, Rozen Maiden, and Zombie Loan. This is also unlicensed, though unconfirmed rumours stated that at one point it was picked up by Tokyopop.

About the Manga

I can’t figure out why, but for some reason this volume irritated me, and was the hardest read I’ve had in this series.

Not a lot of information on So-Hee Park unfortunately, this seems to be her second work, the first being Real Purple. She’s being working on manhwa since 2000 when she won the Seoul Media’s silver medal for Best New Manhwa Creator.

Not sure if my tastes have changed, or if my senses have deadened, but I honestly enjoyed this volume…..which has me worried hehe
