Well, this is my last post today before I go to sleep (or fall asleep on the keyboard lol).
This first aired in in Japan in 1997, a two part OVA that sadly fails because it’s incomplete, I can’t help but feel it needs a third episode.
However that aside it’s bloody funny, first time i saw it it reminded me of Slayers or Magic Knight Rayearth.
By today’s standards the animation is dated, yet still enjoyable, basically because it’s so funny
The story itself revolves round Priest Olivier who has left his Order to travel to a place only known as ‘G’. G is the forbidden land of Gestalt, where the fallen god lives. However Olivier wants to find out the truth for himself so sets off on a journey to ‘G’.
Along the way he stays at a hotel, where the manager makes gives him a girl as a gift. This Girl, Ohri, turns out to be from Gestalt so she tags along with him. Saving him over and over from the many incidents he blunders into.
During the first episode there are a number of hints that Ohri is something more than just a sorceress, which carry over to the second episode.
During the second episode there’s even more hints to Ohri’s past, aswell as to a strange connection between Gestalt and Olivier, which becomes apparent when the fallen god rescues him towards the end of the second episode.
The episode ends with Ohri getting a huge power up, and sitting watching a sun set with Olivier. Sadly it ends on such a cliff hanger that its so blatantly needs a further episode, which never came.
However it’s still worth watching for the sexy voice Ohri has, and the comic action that runs through out the show.
