Here are my thoughts on the current running shows that I’m watching, I won’t be writing reviews for these, but i thought I’d share my thoughts and views in brief on them.
Heroic Age
I’m torn between despising and liking this show, it started off awesome, the first 5 episodes were great. A few people complained about how Age was always winning, and some like me thought it was just setting the stage for later battles. The characters were well thought out and i loved Iolous, he was the love rival and hated Age. Unfortunately in the space of one episode he becomes his best friend. *sigh*
Problem started after this, we’re upto episode 14 now and Age is still winning the battles with next to no effort, its depressing. Now, granted, Age holds the strongest of all the Nodoss, Bellcross, but even so the apparent ease he wins with, and so little damage taken kinda makes it easy to know who’s going to win. As soon as he enters the battle its decided.
This doesn’t make the show a total loss (or i wouldn’t of watched all 14 episodes so far), however it doesn’t live upto the potential I saw in the first few episodes.
Hayate no Gotoku!
Can’t decide if i like this show or not. I’ve watched fifteen episodes so far and I still can’t quite figure out what the actual plot line is about. It has a lot of funny characters that make me smile, and i especially love the misunderstandings that happen. However it seems mindless, with no set course apparent. Most shows by this time you have an understanding of the basic plot.
That said if your interested in mindless comedy, this is well worth watching.
Kaze no Stigma
This isn’t a bad series, its definitely one of the better ones of last season, which isn’t saying much i suppose since the majority of last seasons anime sucked beyond belief.
I like how it takes Kazuma a little while to power up, its not an instant switch. He does seem to be powerful on his own as well lol; and i love his warped personality. Ayano still needs some work, I said ages ago in the forums that her personality makes me want to slap her daft (or is that dafter) rather than protect her. She’s arrogant, pig headed, obnoxious and selfish as hell. Ren, however is great, and so far i like him out of all the characters. When i first saw him i figured he’s be the generic weakling that’s always getting saved. However, while he has that generic innocent and pure out look, he’s a little devil when he gets going. Power wise he’s probably better than Ayano in the fact that he has more control over his flames.
Kenko Zenrakei Suieibu Umisho
Only seen the first two episodes of this, and only one word is needed to describe it: FANSERVICE
From the outset this show is about panties, boobs and nekkidness. No apparent story line as of yet, but its only the second episode so there’s still time. for me the shows appeal is its lightness. It’s a bright sunny show with great artwork and music, which makes it worth watching on its own.
Zero no Tsukaima 2nd Season
Frankly i was disappointed with the first episode of this. I had high hopes for this series since I enjoyed the first season. The animation was upto the same level, but it was the script i just couldn’t get into. However it is just the first episode, and to early to make any over all judgements. It did end on a good point, the next episode will be make or break IMO, how they handle it should be interesting. I’ll either drop or continue based on episode 2.
Moetan
Pointless loli action, that’s the crux of this show. We have a girl in high school who looks like she should be in grade school, who magically converts into super loli teacher.
First episode is out and all i can think of to say is it’s not worth the download. Of late there’s been to many shows of this type and it’s getting boring.
Kishin Taisen Gigantic Formula
I love this series, and will be reviewing it later. But suffice it to say it awesome. Don’t watch it for the story though, which is fairly weak. Watch it for the animation, the girls are drawn so damned CUTE!!!
And it has decent music as well. The other aspect i liked was it took a different turn to get the robots, i love how they did it this time.

I’m enjoying watching Kaze no Stigma but I find that the series doesn’t really impress me, I find that though it has a nice concept and plot with the clans and the power to control elements, I find that it doesn’t have the spark some other content has like Claymore.
